About Me

My name is Chrissia Baker. A Jamaican American, New York native, and Atlanta resident. I am a mother, wife, and an ELEMENTARY TEACHER! I've been working in early childhood education for 10 years!

I received my undergrad in Early Childhood Education at Kennesaw State University. After receiving my degree I had the opportunity to travel abroad to Taiwan. There I completed a year of teaching Conversational English to students in 5th and 6th grade. Watch me teach here. While teaching abroad I received my Masters in Education Media Design & Technology at Full Sail University. You can read my research here During a transition from working at one school to another I was able to complete my third degree and received my Specialist in Instructional Technology. You can see my completed work here

During my time at my current school, I've been able to experience working alongside some of the most inspiring people. I've been fortunate to have the opportunity to branch out of my comfort zone of teaching one grade to teach others, fulfilling leadership roles, giving professional developments, and the list goes on.

While teaching students will always be my first love, I am now branching out towards another passion of mine. Still teaching, now adding some style!!

I'm passionate about fashion and how it can appear and influence a professional setting. I'm always looking for the newest, stylish trends in wardrobe (even though nothing is really new anymore, just revamped) I'm constantly on the hunt for a good bargain when it comes to clothes, shoes, and everyday teacher essentials.

I’m also, passionate about teaching educators how to use technology in the classroom and other school-related topics. I've been fortunate to teach many teachers in my region on tech tools that are being used today, both in and out of the classroom. I've spent many sleepless, yet intriguing, nights researching innovative tools for teachers and students. I've attended several webinars, seminars, and workshops that taught me more about edutech. Currently,  partnered up with schools like MIT and Georgia State University to work alongside a robot that will be making its debut in elementary schools soon!

Then I thought to myself, why not do both?!

I'm here to help you find your professional style from both spectrums of education. The teaching side, along with the stylish side!

This Stylish Teacher is here to help you find your professional style. This Stylish Teacher is also here to work with your school for professional developments! We can discuss topics relating professional attire in the classroom to tech tools being used in todays school setting. I’m here to help!
